Tonight fast paced podcast include a barrage of quick notes from Samsung releasing yet another mobile operating system upon the world, Google Chrome in both OS and internet web browser for the Mac being released in the next few weeks, Star Trek coming out on Blu-Ray and DVD this Tuesday the 17th as well as Twitter lists and ReTweets in the beta form.

Covering the initial hype of the Motorola Droid, we’ve come to find out that the fanfare was short lived. Now with the Eris available on Verizon for $99, BGR reports that the HTC Hero on Sprint’s network is dropping at Best Buys near you for the same price. Not yet capable of Android 2.0, we hear that HTC is still working on developing a version of their “Sense” UI (user-interface) that will be able to run on the latest from the Google Mobile Team.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is breaking video game sales all over the world. With amazing new features in the multiplayer campaign, it makes it much easier to stay and fight the various online battles / missions / campaigns with those you love. TV Shows making an honorable mention include “The Middle,” “Modern Family,” and to less fanfare, “V,” “Flash Forward,” and of course “Lost,” is said to be coming to an end.

Two of peak interest’s must haves on your iPhone include AppBox (18 apps in 1) and Byline for those interested in looking for the best possible solution to sync your Google Reader and offline use. Both are currently on holiday special pricing as of this post on November 16th, so grab them while you can. AppBox Pro / Byline

Finally, the biggest surprise going for peak interest is this week’s launch of Live Interviews! Episode 016 features Christoffer Dumlao from Starcross’d Creative founded and based in San Diego. Going over his inspiration, methodology and equipment, he talks about how ones passion can really help motivate and create a work of art. A truly gifted individual, Chris along with his brother go the distance. Seek their services and be blown away! Starcross’d Creative – San Diego // [look for the Chapter separation to forward to the interview]

Download GeoHot’s official iPhone unlock and read more about it here on his blog. Transitions in this podcast are a little less firm as we jump to this week’s DVD releases. Buy Forrest Gump on Blu-Ray, GI Joe, Alfred Hitchock’s North by Northwest, The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3, & Will Ferrell: You’re Welcome America to just name a few. Spending some time of Modern Warfare 2, make sure to pick it up at your local EBGames / Gamestop on November 11th and for something less violent, more interactive and fun, pick up Band Hero!

Following discussing about the pirated version of CoD:MW2, we bring up some of the latest concerns buzzing around the internet. Do you bitTorrent or download “stuff?” Listen in to a friend’s story on getting tagged by HBO / Comcast for downloading Entourage. Here is what the world is doing: http://torrentfreak.com/secret-anti-piracy-treaty-turns-isps-into-pirates-091104/

If you are ever in downtown Toronto and feel like a Vietnamese w/ a little Thai, check out Ginger! Multiple locations around the city, this little chain gives you great eats at low prices! (link) Ate an awesome meal…

I mention a little incident / auto accident that happened to me earlier this afternoon just about 2 hours prior to recording. Check out the video footage here on my personal website: http://www.elijahnicolas.com/wp/2009/11/04/pound-fail-fail/

Various applications we mentioned this Sunday, November 1st included Snow Checker – for making sure that your move or upgrade to Snow Leopard is safe and Appfresh which does what “Software Update” should be doing…checking ALL of your other apps for the latest version!

I’m not sure if you know, but Elijah has wanted to replace his Sony DSC-P9 for years and now (finally) the Canon S90 Point and Shoot has been released! Once again, one of my favorite sites posts an early review but some users in the comment section have already identified short comings. gizmodo // barrel distortion // amazon

Tonight also marked the beginning of a full scale attack on Apple’s iPhone with Verizon launching the “iDoesn’t” Motorola Droid Campaign. We touch on it a little bit with more to come on October 30th when the unveiling is set to happen. On the other end of the spectrum under iPhone applications, we talk about Adobe’s Photoshop.com Mobile and what it can do, mention of Photogene, Ping and Ransom Letter. If you haven’t already, check out Ping which provides direct iPhone messaging service. Blackberry users have nothing on the iPhone guys now!

On for the review of Gary Vaynerchuk’s new book “Crush It!” we go over a few of the books insights and converse over the ideas providing us the motivation to continue Peak Interest and further develop it. If you haven’t bought it and read it, do it now!

Other mentions are Falcon the Balloon Boy, the car buying experience of my friend Manoj and the decision to choose a Honda Civic Si vs a BMW 335i, Gmail Labs two newest features and of course the “peak deal of the week” on amazon.com featuring a Western Digital Scorpio 2.5 640GB 5400RPM hard drive for $119.99 + free shipping. (click here)

*note* because only 2% of the top podcasts offer an “enhanced” version, we are going to revert back to the older way paving the path for a more frequent recording as well as the advent of our video podcast. Stay tuned! Things are churning here at Peak Interest!

Covering topics such as the T-Mobile Sidekick Server Farm failure, Cloud Computing, to opening up the new segment on iPhone / mobile phone applications, 30 minutes goes fast. From foursquare, to FoodScanner and Tweetie 2 then jumping over to how a little movie such as Paranormal Activity (box office mojo link) has made such a huge impact. Oh yeah, by the way, does Lost and the new hit show, Flash Forward a carbon copy of each other?!

We even made a quick insert giving props out to George Hotz for making ra1n black! <– www.blackra1n.com
