First, kudos to another entertaining and informative session .
I’m glad you guys have been following the progress of the Pre and new iPhone announcement. I actually purchased a Palm Pre for my girlfriend for her birthday and so far she loves it. There is an issue with a stuck pixel that comes and go periodically which is probably going to lead us to return her current phone for a replacement. At any rate, I haven’t done a full test drive yet so I’ll reserve judgment when I have more info.
One interesting thing to note in the space of “smart phones” and portable computers is the convergence of the two separate technologies into the same space. On one hand (as you guys mentioned), you have netbooks and mini laptops (Ee PC) that you can purchase bundled with a service plan for internet access (basically a computer on a phone plan). You now have phones that are powerful enough to run applications, surf the net, and play games. It’ll be interesting to see how computer manufacturers (like ASUS, Intel, etc) start competing in the same space as phone chip manufacturers (Nokia, Qualcomm, etc).
To add to the mix, and I CAN’T believe you guys didn’t cover this, but what about E3 and all the cool new stuff in the Electronic Entertainment industry. Personally, I think my new PDA device will be one of the new Sony PSP Go. I have purposely shied away from handheld portable gaming platforms but now I think it’s mature enough to satisfy my needs. Nyeheheh…
Oh, and thanks for not revealing any spoilers for UP. I haven’t seen it yet, but I almost stopped the broadcast as I was afraid someone may slip and reveal an imporant part of the story to me.
Alright, that’s about it for my 2 cents. Keep on keepin on guys! Love what you’re doing here.
